Guidelines for Circulation
Library Membership : Patrons may need to register for library membership to borrow materials.
Borrowing Privileges : Libraries may have different borrowing privileges based on membership type as follows:

Responsibility : Library users are expected to receive an email notification after they issue, return, or renew a book. However, users are advised to promptly contact the library circulation counter if they find any discrepancy in the circulation transactions email.
Restricted Material : Reference material, Magazines, and Newspapers will not be issued; these may be used in the library premises only.
Renewals : Patrons can renew borrowed materials for an additional loan period, provided no holds exist. Renewals can often be made online or in person.
Fines and Fees : Libraries charge Rs. 5/- per day as fines for overdue books. In case the book is lost, damaged, or disfigured, the user must report to the library in writing. The borrower will be required to replace the same or the latest edition of the document along with INR 100 and overdue charges.
Holds and Reservations : Patrons may be able to place holds or reservations on items currently checked out, allowing them to be notified when the item becomes available.
Recalls : Libraries can recall checked-out items if needed by other patrons or for other reasons, and borrowers must return them by a specified date.
